OnePlus could be getting ready to launch OnePlus Pay outside of China. A tipster has shared a screenshot of its trademark filing in India, suggesting that the payment service and digital wallet could be coming to the country soon.
The trademark application for the service was accepted by the Registrar of Trademarks in India. However, the listing description doesn’t provide any additional details or specifics of a launch timeframe.

OnePlus Pay was first announced in 2019 alongside the OnePlus 7T. It was later introduced only in China with no word on wider availability. The mobile payment system works on NFC-based transactions and is compatible with Hydrogen OS in China. OnePlus has since moved to Color OS in China, and it’s unclear if OnePlus Pay is compatible with the OPPO skin.
OnePlus enjoys a decent market share in India and it makes complete sense for the company to have its own payment service in the country. However, it’ll have a tough road ahead to be able to compete with the likes of Google Pay, Paytm, and other well-established payment apps in India.
We’ll update this article if we hear anything more about OnePlus Pay coming to India.
