OnePlus Two won't be alone, another smartphone in the works too
We’ve known for a while now that a OnePlus One successor is coming sometime this year, likely under the name OnePlus Two. In a recent interview with PC World, however, Carl Pei hinted their plans to expand beyond their core flagship line.
While Pei says the OnePlus Two should arrive in six months or so, a separate handset is being developed that seemingly is less about flagship level power and more about style. In Pei’s own words, “I think its going to be a phone catering to a different type of audience. Perhaps for those who appreciate design over specs.”
Unfortunately that’s really all we know about the device at this stage, but we have to wonder what kind of pricing and specs it might hold. It all comes down to what Pei means by design over specs, though we would say it’s probably a safe bet that this phone will price around the same or less than the OnePlus Two. It’s also unclear whether or not this second smartphone line will even debut this year, though we wouldn’t be too surprised if that’s the case.
Do you think OnePlus can support two new models or are their current audience only interested in “flagship killer” level specs at the lowest price point possible?
