It's been a long time coming, but OnlyFans finally has an Android app (sort of)
- OnlyFans, known for its adult-themed creators, has launched the OFTV app on the Play Store.
- This video service doesn’t contain nudity but instead focuses on lifestyle content and other safe-for-work topics.
OnlyFans has become a major player in the content creation business, and it’s mostly known for allowing users to subscribe to porn creators. The focus on adult content means that we haven’t seen a mobile app on the Play Store, but that’s changing with the launch of the OFTV app.
According to Bloomberg, OFTV is a safe-for-work app that’s devoid of pornographic photos and videos and is now available on Google Play. Instead, we’ve got 800 videos covering cooking, fitness, podcasting, sports, comedy, and more. There’s also an original show, dubbed Unlocked, which covers notable content creators.
“There’s no adult content on OFTV. Because it’s not being monetized and there’s no direct impact on creators’ earnings, we are able to be in the app store,” OnlyFans CEO Tim Stokely told Bloomberg.
The company says OFTV is a free service and that it doesn’t include advertising. But we’d imagine that ads and/or paid content could be a thing if the platform takes off in popularity.
You can download OFTV from the Play Store via the button below. The service is also available on iOS, Amazon’s Fire OS platform, and Roku devices.
