OpenAI’s genius conversational AI chatbot — ChatGPT — now has a paid version called ChatGPT Plus. For $20 per month, you can now get faster and improved service from ChatGPT.
Subscribers will get general access to ChatGPT, even during peak times. The bot will also respond faster than its unpaid version for those who pay the subscription fee. Additionally, ChatGPT Plus subscribers will get access to new features and other improvements.
ChatGPT Plus is available to customers in the US for now. OpenAI will also start inviting people from its waitlist in the coming weeks. The company will expand access to the AI helper to additional countries and regions soon.
Meanwhile, those who want to use ChatGPT for free can continue doing so the same as before. “By offering this subscription pricing, we will be able to help support free access availability to as many people as possible,” OpenAI wrote in a blog post.
OpenAI will also launch a ChatGPT API soon and is mulling options for lower-cost plans, business plans, and data packs for more availability.
Microsoft will also use ChatGPT in its software products. The Redmond-based software giant has already added the chatbot to its Microsoft Teams where it’ll take AI-generated meeting notes and more.
