Oppo's first flip phone could beat the Galaxy Z Flip 4 in several ways
- The OPPO Find N2 Flip’s apparent specs have leaked online.
- Expect a Dimensity 9000 Plus chipset, a 4,300mAh battery, and 44W charging.
- The phone is also tipped to arrive in global markets in Q1 2023.
A leaked video gave us our first (unofficial) look at the OPPO Find N2 Flip last week, showing a clamshell foldable phone with a large, vertically orientated external display.
Now, frequent tipster Yogesh Brar has tweeted a list of apparent Find N2 Flip specs and details. The specs show a phone that could indeed take the fight to the Galaxy Z Flip 4 in almost every area. Check out the list below.
The core specs point to a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 Plus processor, MariSilicon X imaging chip, and a 4,300mAh battery with 44W wired charging. The latter two figures are comfortably ahead of the Z Flip 4’s 3,700mAh battery and 25W top-up speeds.
It also looks like we’re getting a 3.2-inch 60Hz OLED external screen and a 6.8-inch FHD+ OLED main screen (120Hz). There’s no word on ultra-thin glass for the folding panel, though.
What do you think of the Find N2 Flip so far?
Switching to the camera side of things, the OPPO Find N2 Flip is said to be equipped with a dual rear camera system (50MP main, 8MP ultrawide) and a 32MP selfie shooter. The company previously used its in-house imaging chip to reduce noise and improve dynamic range in recorded videos, so we’d expect the same use-cases here.
Finally, Brar claims that the clamshell foldable will have a global launch in Q1 2023. This means OPPO will be joining the Galaxy Z Flip line, the Motorola Razr series, and the HUAWEI P50 Pocket in offering a clamshell foldable outside China.
