Another ultra-premium phone could be getting a one-inch camera sensor
- OPPO may deliver three versions of the Find X6 next month.
- The three versions could consist of two Pro models and a base model.
- One of the Pro models will get a one-inch camera sensor.
The news may be swirling around the Galaxy S23 right now, but Samsung won’t be the only manufacturer making headlines this week. A recent leak may have revealed details on OPPO’s next flagship phones.
It appears that sometime next month, three versions of the OPPO Find X6 will go official, according to a leak found on Weibo. User fenibook, posted screenshots of three different models that include two Pro versions and a vanilla version.
In addition to providing images of the said devices, the screenshots also include information about each model. It appears that one of the Pro versions may use a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip and the other may use a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chip. As for the base model, it seems it could house a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip.
Focusing in on the camera, it looks like each device will have a triple 50MP setup. However, each phone may have different sensors. It’s said the Pro model with the Snapdragon chip may use Sony’s one-inch IMX989 sensor, while the other Pro model may use IMX890 sensors. The base model is believed to have an IMX890 sensor for the main camera, an ISOCELL JN1 for the ultrawide, and IMX763 for the telephoto lens.
Something else all three phones could share is a 3D time of flight (ToF) sensor, which uses the flight time of light to measure the distance to an object. They may also share a 13-channel color sensor and an RGBW IMX709 sensor with a 32MP resolution for the selfie camera.
In terms of build, the Pro and vanilla models may be slightly different. Both Pro models are expected to have a 6.82-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 5,000mAh batteries, 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, and IP68 dust and water resistance.
Not much of a surprise, but the base model may be smaller with a 120Hz 6.74-inch AMOLED display. The battery could also be smaller, coming in at 4,800mAh with an 80W wired and 30W wireless charging rating. It appears that this phone does not yet have a dust and water resistance rating.
It was only a month ago OPPO launched its Find N2 and Find N2 Flip series. But it looks like consumers could soon be able to get their hands on another OPPO handset.
