Pinterest updated with improved navigation, visual enhancements and more
The Pinterest app on Android is receiving a new update today that introduces a brand new design, bringing a more simplified look to the app. It’s no Material Design, but it does add quite a few visual enhancements. Icons are softer and easier to find, and make the whole app feel more “Android-friendly.”
Navigation is also getting some improvements, making it easier to find the things you need most. The start-up time is also experiencing a major improvement, cutting down the launch time from 5.3-seconds to 2 seconds. Not bad at all! The Pinterest app needed some tweaking when it came to the UI, so it’s nice to see the developers are working on it. As it was once named one of the best Android apps of the year, this update should help them get back to that stature, though we think it needs a bit more work (ahem, Material Design).
The update should be rolled out to everyone within the coming days, so be on the look out. Happy pinning!
