Plex Discover will exit beta in Q1 2023
- Plex Discover will exit beta in Q1 2023.
- The features will remain free for all Plex users.
One of Plex’s best features right now, Discover, will see a stable rollout in Q1 2023. Plex executives confirmed to Android Authority that the long-running Discover beta would end before March this year.
Discover on Plex solves one of streaming’s biggest problems by allowing users to integrate all of their subscriptions in one place. That means you can find, save, and watch content from multiple streaming platforms without leaving Plex.
You can also create a single consolidated watchlist of content from various services, which is super helpful if you don’t want to keep switching between streaming apps to see what to watch next.
When it launched in April last year, Plex Discover was free for all users, not just Plex Pass subscribers. It will continue to remain free once it’s out of beta.
We expect the company to iron out all the beta issues before Discover rolls out in a stable manner.
