Poco's first 5G phone for India arrives next week
- POCO has announced that the M3 Pro 5G will be available in India on June 8 through Flipkart.
- It’s the brand’s first 5G phone for the country.
- There’s no word on pricing.
You won’t have to wait long if you’ve been craving a POCO-branded 5G phone for India. GSMArena reports that POCO is launching the M3 Pro 5G in India on June 8 through Flipkart. It’s the Xiaomi-owned brand’s first 5G phone for the country.
The M3 Pro is largely a rebranded Redmi Note 10 5G, but that’s not a bad thing if you live in India and crave faster wireless. POCO’s new phone offers a 6.5-inch 1080p display with a 90Hz refresh rate as well as a fast-for-the-money Dimensity 700 chip and a large 5,000mAh battery. You’ll also get at least 4GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, although the camera setup is unspectacular between the 48MP main sensor, 2MP macro camera, 2MP depth sensor, and front 8MP shooter.

POCO hasn’t mentioned a price for the M3 Pro 5G ahead of the India launch. Europeans pay €180 for the base model, though, which translates to roughly Rs 16,000. While that wouldn’t make it the most affordable phone in the country, it could be a good deal for a 5G device with respectable performance.
Just remember that the M3 Pro 5G isn’t your only choice in India. The Redmi Note 10 5G is effectively the same phone, so it’s worth considering if it arrives at a lower price. You can certainly find more powerful devices if you’re willing to spend more. If you’re a fan of POCO or just want an affordable 5G handset, though, this will likely be more than enough.
