POCO M4 Pro 4G, X4 Pro launched: OLED screens and big batteries for under $250
The POCO X3 Pro offered a ton of horsepower for the buck, using a Snapdragon 860 chipset and retailing for €349. Now, the Xiaomi sub-brand is back with a successor of sorts, dubbed the POCO X4 Pro.
A close look at the phone’s specs reveals that this is the global Redmi Note 11 Pro with a new design and the POCO launcher. The new design retains Redmi device’s flat edges while also delivering a rear camera housing that stretches from left to right (complete with POCO branding on it). Otherwise, you’re getting a plastic back here.
Being a rebranded Redmi Note 11 Pro, you’re getting a lower mid-range Snapdragon 695 5G SoC, a 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz OLED screen, and a 5,000mAh battery.

Poco’s phone also brings 67W wired charging to top you up in a claimed time of 41 minutes. Thankfully, the 67W charger is bundled with the phone, unlike more expensive flagships from Apple, Samsung, and others.
The POCO X4 Pro’s rear camera bump hosts a 108MP main camera (Isocell HM2), an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro lens. A 16MP camera in a punch-hole cutout handles selfies and video calls.
Other notable specs include a 3.5mm port, Bluetooth 5.1, dual stereo speakers, IP53 splash resistance, an IR blaster, a side fingerprint scanner, microSD support, and NFC.
POCO M4 Pro 4G breaks cover
This wasn’t the only phone POCO had on offer today, as it also revealed the POCO M4 Pro 4G. Aside from sharing the same 5,000mAh battery capacity and 33W wired charging speed, the new phone differs from the 5G model in several ways.
You’re getting a 6.43-inch 90Hz OLED screen (FHD+) instead of a 90Hz LCD panel, a MediaTek Helio G96 4G chipset instead of the Dimensity 810 5G SoC, and a 64MP+8MP+2MP rear camera system instead of a 50MP+8MP setup.
