Pokémon Go's Easter Eggstravaganza begins today
As we head into the long Easter weekend, many mobile games are celebrating with their own themed events, and that includes the hit AR game Pokémon Go. Starting today at 4 p.m. Eastern time, its developer Niantic Labs will launch its Eggstravaganza in-game event, which will last until April 20.
The event will offer players of the game a way to find and capture a greater variety of Pokémon that reside in 2 km eggs. Also, there will also be more candy to be collected than normal for any eggs that are hatched by players. The event will also offer double the amount of XP, so players can level up in the game faster, and if you find a Lucky Egg, you will get four times the normal amount of XP. Finally, those Lucky Eggs will cost 50 percent less in the Pokémon Go in-game shop during Eggstravaganza.
A few days ago, Niantic revealed that there are still over 65 million players of Pokémon Go who sign in every month. It also teased that it plans to make some major updates to the game later this spring, including some “all new cooperative social gameplay experiences”. Finally, there are some strong hints that legendary Pokémon creatures will be added to the game sometime before the end of 2017.
