TL;DR
  • Today, during its E3 2021 conference, Razer took the wraps off its new compact gaming laptop, the Razer Blade 14.
  • The laptop features the AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX processor and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 GPU. It is the first-ever AMD laptop from the company.
  • Additionally, the company launched a new 27-inch monitor in its Raptor series.

E3 2021 is now in full swing. At that event, gaming company Razer just took the wraps off a few new products, including a compact gaming laptop and a high-performance gaming monitor.

The laptop is the Razer Blade 14, the first 14-inch gaming laptop from the brand in years. It’s also the first to feature an AMD processor, ending the company’s lifetime streak of only offering Intel-powered machines.

The monitor isn’t as revolutionary, but no less cool. It’s a 27-inch performance beast with some cool RGB lighting on the base. Check out all the info you need below!

Razer Blade 14

As mentioned earlier, the highlight of this machine is its processor, which is the AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX. This is the top-of-the-line laptop processor from AMD, offering incredible performance while sipping on battery power and keeping things cool and quiet.

When you combine this with the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30-series graphics cards, you have a gaming beast. This is all the more notable since all that power is crammed into a 14-inch chassis, making it one of the smallest gaming laptops Razer has ever made. Of its current roster, only the Blade Stealth 13 bests it in compactness, but that will be vastly underpowered as compared to the Razer Blade 14.

Other specs include IPS gaming monitors ranging from Full HD at 144Hz to Quad HD at 165Hz, two USB-C 3.2 ports with power delivery, two USB-A ports for your legacy connections, a full-size HDMI 2.1 port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Obviously, it also comes with the signature RGB keyboard lighting you expect with every Razer laptop.

The Razer Blade 14 will start at $1,799 / €1,999. It’s available now from Razer.com and will soon be available from other retail partners.

Razer Raptor 27

While the Razer Blade 14 might now be the best laptop for gaming on the go, what about when you want to game at home? Razer’s got you covered here with the brand new Raptor 27. As its name suggests, it’s a 27-inch gaming monitor.

On the outside, the monitor doesn’t look all too different from the Raptor 27 you might already own. However, this has a few notable upgrades over its predecessor. First, it has a 165Hz refresh rate, which is slightly better than the 144Hz rate of the prior model. It still has the same Quad HD (2,560 x 1,440) resolution, though.

Next, the Raptor 27 is the first-ever PC monitor to achieve THX Certification. That’s not just from Razer — that’s a first for the industry in general. This ensures it has accurate colors, tone, and imagery for the most meticulous of gamers.

Finally, along with the Raptor 27, Razer is also releasing the Raptor VESA adapter. This VESA adapter allows you to mount this Raptor 27 — or any previous Raptor — to the wall or a mounting arm. Obviously, that will force you to lose out on the cool RGB lighting of the Raptor’s base.

The Razer Raptor 27 will launch in early Q3 2021 for $799 / €999. The VESA adapter will cost $99 / €99 around the same time. Both products will be available from Razer.com, but only the Raptor will see sales at other third-party retailers.
