Reader's Choice: The best smart home products so far in 2019

Tech always seems to have a theme, from “big data” and “the cloud” a few years ago, to AI and 5G now. One of the most interesting themes of the last little while, the Internet of Things, has spawned a huge array of connected smart home products. From smart TVs to smart speakers, smart clocks to smart fridges, smart lightbulbs and smart thermostats, it’s available and it’s connected.

With so many new releases we’re once again turning to our readers to help identify their favorite smart home products released so far in 2019. As with previous Reader’s Choice: Summer Edition awards, we’ve pulled a shortlist of the most popular smart home tech we’ve covered in the first half of the year, and now hand over to you for the fun part.

We’ve broken the voting down into three product categories for simplicity. But as with our best wireless headphones award, there will be an overall winner for your favorite smart home product as well as category winners for each section. Without further ado, let’s get voting!
