Flipkart reveals realme 2 battery size — expect a big upgrade
- Retailer Flipkart has offered up some new realme 2 details, including that it will house a 4,230mAh battery.
- The new phone will also see a slight increase in screen size from the realme 1, from six inches to 6.2-inches.
- Expect all the details when the OPPO sub-brand’s phone launches in India tomorrow.
The realme 2 launches in India tomorrow (August 28), arriving roughly four months after the OPPO sub-brand’s first phone was revealed. Now, exclusive online retailer Flipkart has dropped a few key details, in the form of battery and display sizes.
The retailer revealed the realme 2 will pack a 4,230mAh battery, which is pretty hefty on paper and a big upgrade upon the realme 1‘s 3,410mAh pack.
Otherwise, the realme 2 also sees a tiny bump in screen size, from the first phone’s notchless, 6-inch display to a 6.2-inch notched display. Either way, you’re getting plenty of screen real estate with the new phone.
What else to know?
The Flipkart listing confirms a dual-camera setup too, after a leaked realme 2 render (seen above) showed off the pairing. We weren’t impressed with the realme 1’s photo quality, so hopefully we see big improvements here.
There’s not much else to know about the phone, although the aforementioned leak shows a rear fingerprint scanner as well. The realme 1 lacked a fingerprint scanner for some bizarre reason, so it’s only right to see the scanner on the new phone.
