realme launches Watch 2 series in Europe, confirms tablet, laptop are coming
- realme has confirmed that the realme Pad and realme Book are on the way.
- There’s no word on pricing or availability just yet.
- The firm also launched two smartwatches and a robot vacuum in Europe.
realme has just announced the realme GT for global markets, making a strong argument for being one of the cheapest Snapdragon 888 flagship phones on the market right now. But the Chinese brand had more to share at the launch event.
For starters, realme confirmed that its realme Pad tablet and realme Book laptop devices are indeed real and on the way. There’s no word on an exact timeline though, short of a supplied image (seen at the top of the page) noting that the laptop is “coming soon.”
We do get a closer look at the laptop, however, showing off a Macbook-style design and two USB-C ports on the left-hand side. Images and info previously obtained by Android Authority show a 3:2 screen with relatively thin bezels and realme branding on the lid.
Meanwhile, the supplied realme Pad image (seen above) is in line with the picture obtained by us last week. In other words, you can make out a decently sized camera hump, a metal-like build, and squared-off design of sorts. realme says the tablet is an “entertainment first” device and has a slim form factor, but that’s about all we know right now.
What else did realme announce?
The BBK-affiliated manufacturer also launched the realme Watch 2 and realme Watch 2 Pro in Europe. These watches were recently launched in Malaysia and pack a fair amount of features on paper.
The watches have several features in common, like support for up to 90 sports modes, heart-rate monitoring, SpO2 tracking, sleep tracking, IP68 water/dust resistance, live watch faces, and typical smartwatch functionality (e.g. sedentary reminders, find your phone, notifications etc).
Otherwise, realme’s pro model (seen above) offers a 1.75-inch color screen, up to 14 days of endurance, and integrated GPS. The standard model offers a smaller, 1.4-inch color screen, up to 12 days of juice, and lacks built-in GPS functionality.
Expect to pay €54.99 (~$67) for the realme Watch 2, while the realme Watch 2 Pro will set you back €74.99 (~$91). The watches will be available via Amazon and realme’s website from tomorrow (June 16).
Finally, the company also announced the realme TechLife Robot Vacuum for Europe. The vacuum starts at €299 (~$362) and will be available via AliExpress from June 16 as well. realme’s vacuum offers LiDAR support, sweeping and mopping, customizable cleaning plans, and a 300ml water tank.
