How to redeem a Fortnite gift card

Fortnite gift cards add the premium currency “V-Bucks” to your account. These are purchasable digitally or in-person at retail shops.

These V-Bucks gift cards are only redeemable on the official Fortnite website.

Fortnite website

Go to the official Fortnite website in a browser. Log into your Epic Games account, then hover your cursor over your username in the top right.

From the following options, select V-BUCKS CARD.

Under REDEEM YOUR V-BUCKS CARD, select GET STARTED.

Enter your gift card code in the following field, then click NEXT. If it’s a physical card, you must scratch off the coating on the back to reveal the code.

Select the device you play Fortnite on. This is where your V-Bucks will become available.

Click NEXT, then CONFIRM.

From within the game (PC or Mac)

This is not possible. The only way to redeem a V-Bucks gift card is on the website.

When you go to purchase V-Bucks in-game, you are taken to a checkout screen. Here, you can see your funds in your Epic Games Wallet and payment methods, including PayPal and Credit Card. You are given no option to add a V-Bucks gift card code.

Follow all of the steps from the Fortnite website section on your computer. On the last step, WHERE DO YOU WANT TO USE YOUR V-BUCKS, select PC/Mac.

Fortnite mobile app

This is not possible. The only way to redeem a V-Bucks gift card is on the website.

When you go to purchase V-Bucks in-game, you are taken to a checkout screen. Here, you can see your funds in your Epic Games Wallet and payment methods, including PayPal and Credit Card. You are given no option to add a V-Bucks gift card code.
