Redmi Note 7 Pro likely to launch in March, after the Mi 9
If you’re excited to get your hands on the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro, you likely won’t have to wait too long. According to a social media post from Lu Weibing — general manager of the Redmi brand and a vice president of Xiaomi — it will launch soon after the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 9 (via MySmartPrice).
We know for certain that the Mi 9 is landing February 20, 2019 (the same date as another major smartphone release). With that in mind, it’s very likely the Redmi Note 7 Pro will land in March or perhaps early April.
We don’t know too much specifically about the Redmi Note 7 Pro such as specs, price, launch countries, etc. However, we do have a general idea that it will be packing some serious camera power since the vanilla Redmi Note 7 has an astonishing 48MP + 5MP dual camera setup on the back. We can also go ahead and assume that the device will launch in China first with an Indian launch not long after. Beyond that, though, things get much hazier.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 has a 6.3-inch display with a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080. Under the hood, the Redmi Note 7 is powered by a Snapdragon 660 processor, up to 6GB of RAM, and a 4,000mAh battery. It also runs Xiaomi’s MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie. We can assume the Pro variant will have the same or better specs.
We’ll be on the lookout for more info on the Redmi Note 7 Pro release. In the meantime, are you excited to buy this Pro variant? Let us know in the comments.
