Roborock expands beyond vacuums and mowers with its first pool-cleaning robot

Robotic vacuum cleaners are the sort of life-changing smart home upgrades you really need to experience for yourself to truly appreciate, freeing you from hours of tidying-up busywork every week. But the same sort of autonomous tech isn’t just useful for cleaning inside your home, and we’ve seen plenty of companies expand outdoors, as well — like Roborock did last year at IFA as it took on robotic lawnmowers with its RockMow series. This year the company’s back with not just a whole new lineup of products, but also another new expansion, as it introduces its first robotic pool cleaner.

RockAqua P1

Meet the RockAqua P1. Roborock’s first aquatic robot is designed to clean every inch of even complex pool layouts, handling not just floors and walls, but also navigating up any shallow platforms your pool might have.

The company’s inaugural effort sounds like no slouch, capable of moving 6,800 GPH of water through its dual-stage filters, easily clearing your pool of sand and leaves so that your water’s left looking crystal-clear. It can run for up to 3.5 hours on a charge, and uses camera-based obstacle avoidance, just like the company’s robotic vacuums.

The RockAqua P1 will be coming to the US, but Roborock has yet to share details on pricing and availability.

RockNeo Q2 LiDAR

Before we head inside, let’s check out Roborock’s other new launch for your yard, the RockNeo Q2 LiDAR. The big uprade here is the LiDAR navigation system, like you find on the company’s robotic vacuums. Instead of relying on GPS and RTK for positioning, LiDAR empowers the Q2 to easily find its way around yards full of elaborate landscaping.

The RockNeo Q2 LiDAR is built to scale slopes up to 45%, and with the ability to mow within 3cm of edges, there’s minimal manual clean-up work. And just in case you’re worried about connectivity when the unit’s out trimming the furthest corners of your property, the base station features a built-in Wi-Fi amplifier module.

This one’s set to debut in Europe first. You’ll have to stay tuned for any word about possible US availability.

Saros 20 Flow Complete

When you’re looking for the best vacuums Roborock has to offer, look no further than the Saros 20 series. With exceptional suction power and edge-to-edge cleaning, these have been some of the company’s most capable units to date. But there’s been one little detail where they’ve been waiting to catch up: mopping.

Right now the Saros 20 employs a pair of spinning mop discs, while the Saros 20 Sonic uses a vibrating mop pad. And while those can work perfectly fine, why not combine Saros 20 power with the sort of self-cleaning roller mop the company recently introduced with the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow? That’s exactly what Roborock is doing with the Saros 20 Flow Complete.

Saros models are renowned for their low clearance, letting them slide easily under your furniture, and that trend continues here with the Flow Complete’s low 8.98cm height and retractable LiDAR. It can even climb obstacles nearly as tall as itself, with its AdaptiLift system capable of scaling up to 8.8cm thresholds.

Look for sales of the Saros 20 Flow Complete to open in the US sometime around October.

Saros 20 Neo

If you need a vacuum that can manage even a tighter squeeze, consider the Saros 20 Neo. The Neo also uses AdaptiLift to scale obstacles around your home, and can fit in even tinier spaces with its 7.95cm clearance.

F25 Ultra Steam Gen 2 & F25 Pro Turbo Combo

Finally, we’re stepping outside automated territory to look at Roborock’s latest stick vacs. The Ultra Steam Gen 2 doesn’t just crank out germ-killing 180°C steam in as little as half a minute, but produces up to 150% more steam than the prior generation. While this unit won’t run fully on its own, this model adapts to floor changes in real time, and its SlideTech 2.0 tech uses powered wheels to let you effortlessly maneuver the vacuum with just a nudge.

The F25 Pro Turbo Combo transitions between functions thanks to interchangeable heads, working as a wet/dry vac or tackling your messy carpets. It’s also got SlideTech 2.0, and you can even remotely control the vacuum with FlatReach 2.0 on your phone, letting you get all the way under even deep furniture. Look for more details on the US availability of both these models towards the end of September.
