Galaxy phones have an app delay problem, but Samsung is on the case

Customization is one of the many reasons why Samsung fans love Galaxy phones. The Good Lock software suite opens up all kinds of possibilities to personalize your Android experience. However, just like any other software, Good Lock’s modules are not immune to bugs. And it appears the Home Up module is acting up after a recent update.

Galaxy owners have identified an issue with DIY Home, a Home Up feature that allows you to freely arrange, rotate, resize, and overlap app icons, widgets, and folders. The issue in question concerns how icons appear in a hidden folder. As one user demonstrates in a screen recording, there’s a brief delay between when the hidden folder is opened and when the icons become visible. In contrast, there’s zero delay when opening a normal folder.

According to the report, this issue emerged after updating from One UI 8.5 to One UI 9.0. The Good Lock support team has since responded to the report, stating that the development team is currently investigating the bug. While a fix isn’t available yet, the support team member says that a resolution will come in a future software update.
