Latest Samsung Galaxy Fold updates

December 30, 2021: Samsung is rolling out Android 12-based One UI 4 to the 2019 Galaxy Fold. According to SamMobile, the update brings firmware version F900FXXU6GUL9, with initial availability noted in France.

It’s unclear when the update will be available in additional markets, but it shouldn’t be that long of a wait. If you are in France, check if the update is available for your device by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

Previous notable Samsung Galaxy Fold updates

  • September 2021: One UI 3.1.1 landed on the foldable. It brought several UI improvements for the large display, including a new Taskbar, smarter multitasking, and more.
  • February 2021: One UI 3.1 started rolling out to the Samsung Galaxy Fold. It brought a selection of new features, including Private Share and the Object Eraser Tool for frequent photo editors.
  • January 2021: Samsung’s first foldable gained Android 11-based One UI 3, bringing a complete UI overhaul and the January 2021 Android security patch.
  • March 2020: The Galaxy Fold received an update to Android 10-based One UI 2.1.
