Galaxy Note 8 receives stable Android Pie update in Bulgaria, India, Slovakia
Android Pie has been out for over six months already, but many manufacturers are still working on updates for their devices. Fortunately, it looks like Galaxy Note 8 owners in three countries are finally receiving a sweet slice of Pie.
SamMobile reports that the update for the Exynos variant has hit Bulgaria and Slovakia. It seems like the stable update is also being pushed out to some users in India, according to a redditor and XDA-Developers.
The update purportedly weighs in at 2GB if you haven’t installed previous beta updates, while those updating from a beta can seemingly expect a 571MB download. Samsung has also bundled the February 2018 security patches with the update.
There’s no word on a U.S. roll-out just yet though, so those of you on the other side of the pond are out of luck for now. But the roll-out in other countries means U.S. customers can’t be far behind.
The new update delivers Samsung’s One UI skin as well, which replaces the Samsung Experience interface. Notable changes include a new visual style, a system-wide dark mode, and gesture navigation.
