Samsung Galaxy S11 battery rumors point to a big increase this year
Rumors and leaks for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S11 line have been dropping left and right. One thing we haven’t known until now is the standard Galaxy S11 battery capacity. Thanks to Korean certification information found by SamMobile, we now have an idea of what the handset could ship with.
The images showing the physical battery are quite blurry up close, but SamMobile believes it can spot a 17.37Wh rating. Though we can’t seem to make out the writing ourselves, Samsung’s current 3.86V rating would mean the device could come with a substantial 4,500mAh battery. With the Galaxy S11 Plus expected to tout a hefty 5,000mAh battery, that speculation lines up.
For reference, the current Galaxy S10 Plus and Note 10 Plus feature 4,100mAh and 4,300mAh batteries, respectively. That means next generation’s standard Galaxy S model could come with a bigger battery than both of the current generation’s plus models.

No matter how much we would love the Galaxy S11 to come with a 4,500mAh battery, we will remain a little skeptical at this point, at least until we can clearly see the information ourselves.
