A leak may have confirmed the Galaxy S21's camera specs
- A leak has revealed infographics for the Galaxy S21 family’s cameras.
- The S21 Ultra would be the highlight with a 108MP main camera, two 10MP telephoto cams and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor.
- The S21 and S21 Plus would make do with ‘just’ a 12MP main camera, a 64MP digital telephoto and a 12MP ultra-wide.
Samsung’s Galaxy S21 launch event might be right around the corner, but that isn’t stopping leaks. Well-known tipster Evan Blass has shared what appear to be Italian infographics confirming camera specs for the Galaxy S21 family, including the range-topping Ultra.
As you might guess, the Ultra’s camera specs would be highlight of the Galaxy S21 series. You’d once again see a 108MP main camera (if likely to be a next-generation sensor), but that would be joined by two 10MP telephoto cams and a 12MP ultra-wide shooter. You can expect laser autofocus like you saw in the Galaxy Note 20, too. A 40MP front camera would deliver high-resolution selfies.
The Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus would have more pedestrian camera specs similar to what you saw in their S20 counterparts. You’ll reportedly stick with ‘just’ a 12MP main sensor, and your telephoto shots will still be crops from a 64MP camera. You can once more expect a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 10MP sensor up front.

There are no mentions of new capabilities in the camera specs, although past leaks have suggested the Galaxy S21 line can capture both front and rear video simultaneously and record 8K footage at 30FPS. Any practical improvements over the S20 range will usually come either from sensor quality upgrades or software tricks, then.
You won’t have to wait long to verify the camera specs when Samsung is debuting the Galaxy S21 on January 14. Provided these details are accurate, though, it’s safe to say the cameras will mainly appeal to people upgrading from the S10 and earlier phones — you won’t be in a rush if you bought an S20 last year.
