Samsung might be saying goodbye to the Galaxy S21 Ultra
- The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra has gone missing from Samsung’s US website.
- The US version of the phone is also no longer available from Amazon.
Samsung’s Galaxy S22 series is on the way, and the S22 Ultra in particular is expected to be the star of the show. Unfortunately, it looks like last year’s Ultra model may have been pulled from the Samsung US website.
Phone Arena noticed that the company’s US website offered the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, and Galaxy S21 FE, but no S21 Ultra. It’s unclear if this is just a temporary move due to depleted stock or if Samsung has decided to permanently halt sales of the Ultra device on its website.
A support agent also confirmed to us that the website was out of stock of S21 Ultra units, but we’ve asked Samsung representatives to clarify the situation as well.
For what it’s worth, we noticed that the international version of the S21 Ultra is available on Amazon but the US version is only available as a refurbished model. Phone Arena adds that the likes of Verizon and T-Mobile don’t have the device for sale online anymore, either.
We hope the Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus continue to be available for purchase, but we’re not sure if these phones will be getting massive price drops after the S22 release if they’re still around. There is a precedent for a price cut, as the Galaxy S10 series got $150 price drops after the S20 line’s release. But Samsung complicated matters this time around by launching the $700 Galaxy S21 FE last month.
