Samsung Galaxy S22 series now getting Android 13 in the US
- Samsung is now rolling out the Android 13 update for the unlocked Galaxy S22 models in the US.
- The update brings all-new One UI features and other Android 13 improvements.
Samsung has started rolling out the stable Android 13 update to unlocked Galaxy S22 models in the US. The confirmation comes from folks over at SamMobile.
Samsung previously rolled out the Android 13 update for Galaxy S22 users in Europe. The software then hit carrier-locked models of the Samsung flagships in the US. Now, users carrying unlocked Galaxy S22, S22 Plus, and S22 Ultra models can also upgrade to Android 13 in the US.
The update for the non-carrier S22 phones comes with firmware version S90xU1UEU2BVJA. It brings along One UI 5.0 and its revamped UI. Of course, you get all the Android 13 features, such as per-app language controls, notification permissions, better privacy and security, and improved Material You options.
The phones are still on the October security patch, though. This should change anytime now as Samsung is one of the fastest in the business to roll out new security updates.
To install Android 13 on your Galaxy S22 phones, head to Settings > Software Update > Download and install.
