- The One UI 5.1 update has landed on the Galaxy S22 series and the Galaxy Z Fold 4 after Canadian carrier Fido revealed a Feb-end rollout date.
- The Galaxy Z Flip 4 could be next in line to get the new software.
Update: February 13, 2023 (4:46 AM ET): The One UI 5.1 update has already started rolling out to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4. According to SamMobile, the update is now available in Germany and the Netherlands with firmware version F936BXXU1CWAC. It could soon expand to other markets.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S22 series has also started getting the One UI 5.1 update with firmware version S90xBXXU3CWAI. Once again, the update is limited to Europe and unlocked models of the phones.
It may be a while before the update starts showing up for carrier-locked variants of the phones.
Original article: February 13, 2023 (1:33 AM ET): The Samsung Galaxy S23 series launched with One UI 5.1 out of the box. The Android 13-based software update brings a huge list of new features, including Expert RAW integration in the camera app, new widgets, mode-based wallpaper selection, and more. It is restricted to the Galaxy S23 flagships as of today but could land on the Galaxy S22 series, the Galaxy Z Flip 4, and the Galaxy Z Fold 4 later this month.
According to information shared by Canadian carrier Fido 9 (h/t SamMobile), the One UI 5.1 update will start going out to the older Samsung flagships on February 22. If this is accurate, you can also expect the update to release in other markets, including the US. However, different carriers and regions have different timelines for pushing out new software, so it might reach you a little later.
Samsung hasn’t officially announced anything, but most smartphones running One UI 5.0 should be eligible for the One UI 5.1 update. The most recent flagships mentioned above would still be the first to get the new software.
