These leaked S23 Ultra night mode shots suggest a big improvement
- Apparent Galaxy S23 Ultra night mode samples have leaked online.
- The shots tentatively show a huge upgrade in low-light picture quality.
We’ve already seen a ton of Galaxy S23 series leaks and teases, and one claimed upgrade teased by Samsung is that we’ll see much better low-light photography.
Now, it turns out that Twitter user Edwards Urbina got their hands on an apparent Galaxy S23 Ultra (h/t: Android Headlines) and has taken a host of night mode shots. Check out the gallery below.
It’s difficult to conclusively say whether the Galaxy S23 Ultra offers a huge upgrade to low-light photography. After all, we’ll need to see high-resolution images rather than compressed pictures uploaded to Twitter. We’d also need to see comparisons to the S22 series to figure out just how big a leap we’re looking at.
Nevertheless, the night shots definitely offer a major increase in brightness, significant noise reduction, and great colors versus the standard photo (if the latter isn’t merely under-exposed). So it looks like Samsung is on the right track here. We’ll find out more on February 1 when Samsung holds its Unpacked event.
