The Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus officially launched in India a month ago. Both smartphones are priced as expected and are unsurprisingly expensive. However, as is the case with any new release, there are a few offers right now that provide significant discounts. Here’s a roundup of some of the best deals that are currently available for the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus in India!
Flipkart
Flipkart has the Samsung Galaxy S9 priced at Rs 57,900 for the 64GB version and Rs 65,900 for the model with 256GB of built-in storage. Only the 64GB iteration of the Galaxy S9 Plus is available, however, priced at Rs 64,900. The various offers that are included make for a more affordable purchase though.
Right now, you can get Rs 6,000 as cashback when buying either phone with an HDFC bank credit card. The offer is valid even if you opt for a 3, 6, 9, 12, or 18 month EMI plan as well. The deal will last till April 30, and the cashback will be processed to your card by September 5.
You can get up to Rs 16,000 off when you exchange your old smartphone. The maximum discount is available for devices like the iPhone 7 Plus, while phones like the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will get you Rs 14,050 and Rs 14,800 off respectively.
Airtel offers double the data for 30 months for prepaid customers with a recharge of either the Rs 199 or Rs 399 per month plan. Postpaid customers are also eligible for the same if they are subscribed to either the Rs 499 or Rs 799 per month plans as well. This offer is valid until September 15.
Finally, if you are subscribed to a Vodafone RED postpaid plan of Rs 999 per month or higher, you will get a free subscription to Netflix for one screen and one year, worth Rs 6,000.
Samsung
Samsung stores, both online and offline, have the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus available at the same price as Flipkart for the models mentioned above. However, more options are available here, including the 128GB version of the Galaxy S9 priced at Rs 61,900, and the 128GB and 256GB iterations of the Galaxy S9 Plus, priced at Rs 68,900 and Rs 72,900 respectively.
You can avail the same Rs 6,000 cashback offer as above when buying the device with an HDFC bank credit card. The cashback will be processed within 120 days. While the website states that the offer was valid until March 31, it seems to still be available online. The deadline has likely been extended to match Flipkart’s offer that lasts until April 5.
For online purchases, Samsung uses Cashify to provide their exchange offer. This offer includes an additional Rs 6,000 on top of the standard exchange rate for select models like the OnePlus 5T, iPhone X, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, and more, for a possible maximum discount of Rs 33,000.
The same Airtel “double data” offer and the free Netflix subscription from Netflix can also be availed when buying these devices directly from Samsung. Also available is a special Rs 4,999 annual plan from Reliance Jio, that gives you unlimited calls and texts and 1TB of data for the duration of the subscription.
Airtel
Airtel doesn’t have any special deal on Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 plus per say. However, if you aren’t looking to pay the expensive full price for these smartphones, Airtel provides a way to get these phones in your hand without breaking the bank. Here is a look at what is required.
