Samsung's big battery budget tablet is heading to India
- Samsung has announced the Galaxy Tab A8’s availability in India.

After making its US debut at the back end of 2021, Samsung’s Galaxy Tab A8 is now landing in India (h/t SamMobile).
The budget tablet brings a 10.5-inch FHD+ LCD, a 2GHz octa-core SoC beneath it mated to a maximum of 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and a massive 7,040mAh battery. To top it up, there’s a 15W charging system.
Also included is a quad-speaker setup, making the Galaxy Tab A8 ideal for binge-watchers on a budget. There’s a 3.5mm headphone jack for cord lovers and an 8MP/5MP rear/front camera combo for emergency camera work. The Tab A8 also comes with Android 11-based One UI 3.1, but you can likely expect an upgrade to Android 12 later in the year.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A8: Price and availability
So how much does this tablet cost? Well, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 will be available through major retailers and Samsung’s online store in India from January 17. Pricing starts at Rs 17,999 (~$244), making it slightly cheaper than the outgoing Galaxy Tab A7. Colorways on offer include grey, Pink Gold, and silver.
