The Galaxy Watch Active 2 will probably look like this when it launches
A leaked Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 render (seen above) has emerged online, all but confirming what the rumored smartwatch will look like. The purportedly official render, published on Android Headlines earlier today, gives further credence to the leaked SamMobile photos from a few weeks ago.
The watch features a round face and what looks like power and home buttons on the right side, just like the original Galaxy Watch Active.
There also appears to be a pin-hole microphone on the right, presumably to make and receive calls. The original Galaxy Watch Active also had a microphone, placed elsewhere.
The Active 2 is expected to launch in two sizes, 40mm and 44mm, while the original came in 40mm size. It’s said to support leather and silicon straps, and come in black, gold, and silver colors. It’s also tipped to run Samsung’s typical Tizen wearable system rather than Wear OS.
Samsung released the original Galaxy Watch Active only a few months ago in February; while we loved the hardware, the watch was ultimately let down by poor software and fitness tracking. Since the Watch Active 2 design is seemingly so similar to the original, we assume Samsung has worked mostly on the software experience — this would be good news.
