Here's a first look at the Galaxy Watch 4, which may also be the Watch Active 4
- A set of press renders of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 just leaked.
- The renders show a design that is the same as the one seen with a previously leaked Galaxy Watch Active 4. It appears the two watches are one and the same.
- The press renders have branding included, so there is little doubt that this is the Galaxy Watch 4.
Earlier this week, we reported on a set of leaked renders of an upcoming Samsung-branded smartwatch. Judging from the design, we (and the rest of the tech sphere) surmised that the renders were for the Galaxy Watch Active 4.
However, a large set of press renders just leaked through 91Mobiles via an anonymous source. The renders show a watch that’s pretty much the same as what we thought was the Galaxy Watch Active 4. It appears that we were wrong, and all the renders we’ve seen have likely been of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4!

This could mean that there won’t be an Active version of the next Galaxy Watch, at least not yet.
This design represents a seismic shift for the Galaxy Watch lineup. Considering that it will likely come with all-new software, that makes a lot of sense. Still, if you love the designs of previous Galaxy Watches, you might be in for a shock when you see what the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 is likely to be.
See the renders for yourself below.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 press renders
A close look at the back of the watch reveals some of the alleged specs for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4. We can see that there will likely be two sizes: 40mm and 44mm. This lines up with previous rumors. There will likely also be 5ATM water resistance, MIL-STD 810G durability, and onboard GPS. It could also have Gorilla Glass DX Plus, which we’ve seen on previous Galaxy Watches.
What do you think of the leaked Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 renders?
Obviously, it is incredibly likely this watch will be the debut of Google’s and Samsung’s new wearable operating system, tentatively known as Wear OS 3.0. However, there’s not enough info in these images to actually confirm that’s the case. We’ll probably find out for certain on June 28 when Samsung holds its press event related to wearable software.
