Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 UI details, Apple Watch-like feature revealed in new leak
- Some features of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 have leaked.
- It could sport a familiar UI even with Wear OS on top.
- The smartwatch might also get a feature inspired by the Apple Watch.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 is all but confirmed to replace Tizen with Google’s Wear OS. Now, a fresh leak from SamMobile has outed some more details about how the company plans to handle the OS change so that the new smartwatch retains a familiar feel.
According to the publication, Samsung might release three versions of its smartwatch this year. One is expected to come with a “classic” design, while the other two, including an Active model, could feature a sporty look. We heard the same a while back when a leak revealed that Samsung might launch the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Active in August.
As per the new information, these smartwatches will run Wear OS, but Samsung will reportedly layer One UI on top of the software. This will apparently be a whole new version of One UI for Samsung’s wearable devices. So the Galaxy Watch 4 and accompanying smartwatches might have a “similar look and feel” even with the operating system change.
Elsewhere, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 is said to be getting a walkie-talkie feature. We’ve already seen this on the Apple Watch, wherein the feature allows users to send and receive short voice messages between smartwatches.
Unfortunately, the new leak doesn’t reveal any other Galaxy Watch 4 features. Previous leaks have hinted at its battery capacity, sizes, sensors, and more. You can catch up with all the Galaxy Watch 4 rumors here.
