- The Galaxy Watch 5 and 4 series are getting camera zoom controls.
Samsung is rolling out updates to the recent Galaxy Watch lineup and the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro which makes them more capable companions for your Samsung phone’s camera.
Bluetooth LE Audio on Galaxy Buds 2 Pro
The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are gaining a new 360-degree audio recording feature that lets users capture sound using the microphone in each bud while recording a video on their phones. Samsung says the feature picks up 360-degree sound and emulates an in-person experience. “Users can pop-in connected headphones and playback the video on their device to hear lifelike, immersive sounds,” the company noted in a press release.
The feature leverages Bluetooth LE (low energy) Audio to enable both left and right mics on the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro to record audio simultaneously. 360-degree audio recordings will be available on the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro paired with Galaxy phones running One UI 5.0 or above with LE audio support, including the Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and upcoming Samsung phones.
Zoom in with your Samsung Galaxy Watch
For the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 4 lineup, Samsung will enable camera zoom controls on the smartwatches with an update coming this February. The watches already have a camera controller app. The new update will allow users to remotely zoom their Galaxy phone’s camera by pinching the watch face or turning the rotating bezel.
