TL;DR
  • Samsung has started rolling out stable One UI 9 to the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6 in South Korea.
  • Galaxy S24 beta users are getting a roughly 500MB OTA, while non-beta users face a much larger 3.8GB download.
  • The rollout should expand to the US, Europe, and other markets after the initial Korean release.

Samsung’s One UI 9 rollout is working its way backward through the company’s flagship catalog, and the next stop is exactly where you’d expect. After starting with the Galaxy S26 series and more recently expanding to the Galaxy S25 family and last year’s foldables, the Android 17 update is now reaching the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6.

As with Samsung’s other recent One UI 9 releases, South Korea is getting first dibs. X user Kailash shared screenshots of the stable update rolling out to both beta testers and regular Galaxy S24 users in Samsung’s home market.

For Galaxy S24 series owners coming from the One UI 9 beta, the final update is a relatively small ~500MB download. The update carries firmware S92xNKSUGEZIF and the September 5, 2026 security patch. Users jumping straight from One UI 8.5 have a much bigger download waiting. The stable One UI 9 OTA weighs roughly 3.8GB, which makes sense since these phones are receiving the entire Android 17 upgrade rather than the smaller finishing package supplied to beta testers.

Samsung is also extending the stable release to its 2024 foldables. Another screenshot shared by Kailash on X shows that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 are receiving build number EZIH in Korea. The beta-to-stable OTA weighs about 408MB, while another X report shows the full package comes in at about 3.5 GB.

One UI 9 includes the same broad collection of changes already landing on newer Galaxy phones, among them expanded Galaxy AI features, more Quick Panel customization, privacy and security improvements, Samsung Health upgrades, and refinements across Samsung’s apps and interface.

For now, this rollout is limited to South Korea. But Samsung has followed this same playbook with the Galaxy S26, S25, and newer foldables, so the US and Europe should be next in line as the rollout expands.
