Samsung's Galaxy Tab S7 FE and Tab A7 Lite are for watching media on a budget
- Samsung has officially announced both the Galaxy Tab S7 FE and the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite.
- The 12.4-inch and 8.7-inch tablets should be much cheaper than normal Galaxy Tab devices.
- Both Android 11 tablets will be released in June in select markets.
Today, Samsung finally confirmed the previously leaked Galaxy Tab S7 FE (Fan Edition) tablet is on its way. In addition, the company has also announced a smaller budget tablet as well. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite is a portable tablet for watching content and playing games.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE has a big 12.4-inch 2,560 × 1,600 display. Samsung is clearly aiming to have people work and play on this tablet, thanks to its included S Pen. The tablet also supports the optional Book Cover Keyboard accessory.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 750G processor powers the tablet. Models will be released with either 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage or 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. You can expand that storage limit up to an additional 1TB with the included microSD slot. There’s also a big 10,090mAh battery, with support for up to 45W of fast charging (although you will have to get the fast charger separately).
The tablet has an 8MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera, and a USB-C port. In addition to Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi Direct, and Bluetooth 5.0, some models support LTE and 5G wireless connections. Dual speakers with AKG and Dolby Atmos support are included, and it comes in four different color choices: Mystic Black, Mystic Silver, Mystic Green, and Mystic Pink.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite has an 8.7-inch 1,340 × 800 display. Based on the company’s official render, the tablet has rather large bezels on the front, with rounded corners and a metal cover. Inside, there’s a currently undisclosed octa-core processor with speeds of 4×2.3GHz + 4×1.8GHz. It also has either 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage or 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. There’s also a microSD card slot to add up to 1TB of additional storage.

The smaller tablet has a 5,100mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging (although that charger is also optional), an 8MP rear camera, and a 2MP front camera. The tablet also supports Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi Direct, and Bluetooth 5.0 connections, and some models have LTE wireless support. You can expect to see a USB-C port for power, and there’s an old-fashioned 3.5mm headphone jack as well. Consumers may choose from either gray or silver colors.
Both are expected to be released in June. Pricing for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE has yet to be revealed, but the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite will be priced at just $159.
