A Samsung 25W wireless charger exists. Fast charging on the way for Galaxy S22?
- A 25W Samsung wireless charger was just spotted at the FCC.
- No current Samsung phones are capable of wirelessly charging at 25W.
- Could this product’s existence signal fast wireless charging for the Galaxy S22 series?
Wireless charging is a cool perk. It’s usually slower than wired charging, but not needing to fumble with a cable sure is nice. Some companies, though, are making wireless charging faster, such as OnePlus, which offers 50W speeds with the OnePlus 9 Pro (combined with its proprietary charging stand).
It looks like an upcoming Samsung wireless charger could finally up that company’s game (via MySmartPrice). So far, no Samsung phone is capable of charging wirelessly faster than 15W. Now, though, a new charger just passed through the FCC that’s capable of 25W speeds.

While there’s no guarantee this product will hit store shelves, it’s very likely this charger will come out in the next month or two. Wouldn’t you know it, but we expect to see the Samsung Galaxy S22 series in the next month. Could this mean the Galaxy S22 series would support 25W wireless charging?
Considering that even Google offers fast wireless charging now with the Pixel 6 series, it’s inevitable that Samsung will catch up to the competition. Whether or not this particular Samsung wireless charger is the one is up in the air, but fast wireless charging on Samsung phones is an inevitability.
The question becomes, then, which of the Galaxy S22 devices would see these speeds? Our money is on the Galaxy S22 Ultra (or Galaxy S22 Note, depending on which rumor you believe). 25W wireless charging would be a premium perk, so it would make sense for it to only appear on the top-end Galaxy S22 model.
Either way, the days of 15W wireless charging on Samsung phones are numbered.
