Vine is shutting down today - here's how to save your videos before they vanish
In case you missed the news from a few weeks ago, Vine is shutting down Tuesday, January 17 (today). After today, the Vine website will not allow any new clips to be uploaded, and the current Vine app will be downgraded to Vine Camera.
Thankfully, all of your wonderful six-second videos won’t be gone forever. While the service as a whole is shutting down, there are still a few ways to easily download and save your videos before they’re gone for good. Below you’ll find instructions on how to save all of your Vine videos.
How to save Vine videos
Open the Vine app, then login to your account. Tap the Profile icon on the top-right of your screen, then tap the Save Videos button. Now you’ll get to choose how and where you’d like to save your videos. You can either request a download link to be emailed to you, or you can save them directly to your phone’s gallery.
If you choose the Save to gallery option, simply select the videos you’d like to save, then click the Save button. It’s that easy.
If you’d rather save them to your computer, tap the Email me a download link option. If you have an email address associated with your Vine account, select your email address, then tap the Send button. If you don’t have an email address added to your account, you can add one via the account settings of the Vine app.
Easy, right?
As stated earlier, Vine is closing its doors today, so you still have a little bit of time to download your videos before they’re gone forever. If you haven’t yet, head to the Google Play Store link below for the download.
