The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4’s screen may be very unique, but ultimately it’s just a typical display when folded open. This means you can take a screenshot on Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 devices just as you would with any other Android phone. Samsung has provided multiple ways to do this, and today we’re here to tell you all about them.

QUICK ANSWER

The simplest way to take a screenshot on a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 is to press the power and volume down buttons simultaneously. Just make sure only to press them for a short period of time. Pressing and holding this button combination for longer will redirect you to the power options.

  1. Navigate to the page you want to take a screenshot of.
  2. Press the power and volume down buttons simultaneously. Remember not to hold the buttons for long, as this will trigger the power options. A quick press will suffice.
  3. Your phone will take a screenshot!

Palm swipe

Samsung phones have a neat gesture for taking screenshots without fumbling around looking for hardware buttons to press. Palm swipe allows you to drag your palm’s edge across the screen to take a screenshot. You’ll have to enable the feature first, though.

How to enable Palm swipe:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Go into Advanced features.
  3. Select Motions and gestures.
  4. Toggle Palm swipe to capture.

  2. Swipe the edge of your palm across the screen to capture a screenshot.
  3. Done!

Assistant menu

The Assistant menu is for those who like one-handed use or would prefer a simple window to access great tools. This menu includes “hardkeys, gestures, and other common interactions.” Of course, you’ll have to enable it first.

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Go into Accessibility.
  3. Hit Interaction and dexterity.
  4. Toggle Assistant menu on.
  5. Select Allow.
  6. This will pull up a floating button. Tap on it and select Screenshots.
  7. Your phone will take a screenshot of what the screen is showing.
