You can now shop online with any card saved in your Google account
Google has made it easier for you to pay for goods and services in third-party apps, mobile websites, and even Google Assistant. You can now make a purchase with any card that’s saved in your Google account and not just those you added to Android Pay. These include the cards used on the Play Store, Google Store, or those that are saved in Chrome.
The online search giant claims that this is useful for both consumers as well as merchants. You’ll be able to check out a lot faster and won’t have to look for your card and enter the details manually. This is especially important when there’s a deal available and you have to make a purchase as fast as possible to get it.
When it comes to merchants, Google says that this might result in more conversions and increased sales, among other things.
Google is doing its best to make it as easy as possible for consumers to make purchases online. The company clearly sees a bright future for mobile payments and is also trying to convince as many users as possible to sign up for Android Pay. It recently added support for 18 additional banks, which brings the total number to well over 600.
