SimCity BuildIt now available internationally through Google Play
EA’s SimCity BuildIt has been on Android for about a month now, but only to a small subset of users. The game debuted on Android in Canada in November, but now it’s finally made its way to the Play Store for all to play.
Just like its popular PC counterpart, the aim of the game is to build a city residents will be proud of, and it’s your job to overcome everyday obstacles that come with building a city, like traffic jams, pollution, and fires. You can even create and trade resources with friends and other cities, but that’s about it when it comes to multiplayer support. The game is optimized for touch screens, so there will be a ton of pinching, zooming and rotating around the 3D city. SimCity BuildIt is also available for both online and offline gameplay. Natural disasters are still present here, so you can watch your creation fall to the ground by means of tornadoes, hurricanes and even riots.
The game is free to play, and offers a small amount of in-app purchases, though you won’t need to invest in any to enjoy the game to its full potential. Head to the Play Store to download SimCity BuildIt!
