SKYWORTH impressed with these products at CES 2020
At CES 2020, SKYWORTH made a few big announcements including some new products and a plan to enter the US and other global markets. We got a chance to walk around their booth in South Hall 1 and check out what the company has to offer, and it was a lot. Aside from some of the obvious things like bigger and better TV displays, the company also had a few really interesting applications of their screens.
You didn’t have to walk far into the booth to be greeted by a monster 88 inch 8K OLED rotating TV. SKYWORTH had it front and center for obvious reasons. It was instantly eye-catching and the fact that it could rotate at the push of a button had everyone stopping to stare, including us. Behind the rotating TV was one of the main stars of the new SKYWORTH lineup, which was the Q91 75″ inch 8K TV. This is going to the first 8K TV that SKYWORTH will have available for purchase in the United States so you should be able to walk into your local electronics store sometime this year and see it for yourself. Walking around to the left side of the booth was another super interesting demo consisting of a floating TV. At first, it was just an impressive super flat TV, but then the image left the screen and you were able to see right through the TV to the other side just like a window. Moving back inside the booth was a stunning 120″ 8K TV that was basically just SKYWORTH showing off what it can do. For anyone who is in the market for a TV that could easily take up your entire wall, they have you covered. A TV that big might be the star of the show for other companies, but SKYWORTH has bigger plans.
The last product they were displaying were the new wallpaper TV’s, dubbed the W81 and W81 Pro. This OLED TV is 4.6mm thin and its secondary screen is powered by Swaiot OS if you get the Pro version, which is just the SKYWORTH home automation hub so you can have access to everything you need right from your paper-thin TV. It’s a small control bar that has a personal assistant to help. It can also show you information about your day and even the weather which was pretty nice. If you just want the wallpaper TV then you can go with the regular W81.
Nothing I saw at the SKYWORTH booth was expected or average. It was very clear that the company came to play, so if you want a really high-end TV experience in your living room, look out for SKYWORTH in the next year.
