Fire up the grill and play music from Sonos' new outdoor speakers
Sonos and Sonance, a company recognized for its inconspicuous wall and ceiling-integrated speaker systems, have partnered to create the Sonos Architectural by Sonance, a collection of home speakers designed to blend seamlessly into your environment. With the overarching announcement comes three pairs of speakers: In-Ceiling, In-Wall, and Outdoor, all of which may be paired to the Amp for simple home audio streaming.
The company’s debut outdoor speaker boasts a weatherproof design, meaning you can listen to music outdoors year-round. It’s resistant to humidity, water, salt spray, heat, UV rays, and freezing temperatures. Listeners may power three pairs of Sonos by Sonance Architectural speakers with one Sonos Amp, which is encouraged to get the most out the system. In doing so, users benefit from a one-stop app that facilitates easy audio streaming and AirPlay2 control. What’s more, TruePlay technology analyzes the size of the room as well as any physical obstacles to produce an appropriately equalized sound for a given space.
Its In-Ceiling speakers are designed for spacious areas and can be painted to match your ceiling for further camouflage. Sonos offers these in a round or square build, while the In-Wall speakers are only available in a rectangular shape. However, they too can be painted.
Currently, you may sign up for notifications regarding the Outdoor Speaker pair’s availability, which will retail for $799. The In-Ceiling and In-Wall speaker pairs are available for pre-order and will be delivered by February 26; each pair retails for $599.
