Sony now selling unlocked Xperia Z3 to U.S. customers for $679.99
As Sony’s most recent flagship was announced back in September at IFA 2014, Sony lovers have been pining for their chance to pick one up. Sony has never really had a huge presence in the United States, up until now, anyway. With the release of the Xperia Z3, they vowed to focus a bit more on their marketshare in the U.S., and thus we’ve seen the release of the Xperia Z3 on T-Mobile and the Xperia Z3v on Verizon. As of today, Sony is also making the unlocked Xperia Z3 LTE available for U.S. customers directly from their website.
The phone comes in at a hefty $679.99, and you can order it in Black, White, Copper, or Silver Green. If you’re a U.S. customer and aren’t on Verizon or T-Mobile (or simply prefer unlocked devices), you may want to think about ordering one directly from Sony’s site. Keep in mind this is a GSM phone, which means it will work with AT&T, T-Mobile and compatible MVNOs.
The Sony Xperia Z3 is a really solid offering, with its 5.2-inch, HD Triluminous display, 20.7MP rear-facing camera, 2.2MP front-facing camera, 3GB of RAM, microSD card slot, and a 3,100mAh battery.
Head here to pick up your own Xperia Z3 from Sony’s website. If you live in the states, will you be picking one up from Sony? Do you think the phone is good enough for them to charge $679.99 off-contract? Let us know what you think!
