Compared to the original Xperia XA1 which was released back in February, there’s not much in the way of improvements here, but there are a number of notable tweaks that bridge the gap with the XA1 Ultra. The display resolution being one of them, and Sony has also included a much larger battery. Perhaps one of the most interesting inclusions in this phone is that the mid-range XA1 Plus inherits the Xperia Z5‘s camera, making it a powerful shooter that will hold its own against more expensive handsets.
