Sony Xperia Z5 coming to Canada on October 29th, exclusively for Bell
While Sony has a reasonably strong following in Asia and parts of Europe, the Japanese giant tends to focus less on the North American audience. For those in Canada however, the good news is that the Xperia Z5 is on its way! The downside? It’s only available through Bell.
The Bell exclusive will be offered for $199.95 on two-year contract, or $649.95 off-contract on October 29th both in-store and online. The handset will be offered in either white or black. For those that are fans of the Premium or Compact model, no word on either of those just yet.
As for what the Sony Xperia Z5 brings to the table? The Z5 is powered by a Snapdragon 810 with 3GB RAM. Other specs include a 5.2-inch 1080p display, 32GB storage, microSD, a 23MP rear cam, and a 2900 mAh battery. The Xperia Z5 also joins the fingerprint scanning trend, with a side-mounted scanner built into the power button. On the software front, you get Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, which is even more stock-like and snappier than earlier members of the Xperia Z family.

Sony might not be the first name that comes to mind when we think of Android devices, but there’s still a lot to love about their offerings including what is said to be one of the best cameras on the market, an excellent build quality, waterproofing, and all the latest specs.
Any of our Canadian readers thinking about picking this one up? For those that aren’t, would you have been interested if another carrier had offered it?
