Multiple threads are calling out frozen playback screens, delayed button inputs, and endless loading spinners. Users report that basic interactions. such as pausing a track, switching playlists, or opening the Now Playing screen, frequently lag or crash the application altogether.

For many paying $12.99 per month for Spotify Premium, the persistent inability to play music reliably on their phones feels like a major step backward for a service that dominates the audio streaming market.
