T-Mobile's Nexus 6 soon to receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow (UPDATE: rolling out)
The support page categorizes the Android 6.0 Marshmallow as the only "new feature", but that happens to mean quite a bit. You can learn all about Marshmallow's new features by reading our dedicated post.
Original text: T-Mobile’s devices may not be the first to receive updates (nor are they the last), but at the very least they are good at keeping the process transparent to users. The Un-carrier has a website you can check to see how far into the updating procedure your specific device is. That is, if your phone is getting it.
Of course, Nexus users are among the first in the list, and today we are getting good news for owners of the Nexus 6. This super-sized smartphone will be getting the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update “soon”. The OTA upgrade has been approved, so it’s only a matter of a very short time before we start seeing some update notifications popping up.
Please do let us know if you happen to see the update hitting your own smartphone We can’t say how long it will take, but it’s usually a short wait after a software update is approved. Regardless, we are glad to finally see the Marshmallow update coming to the Google phone. We were supposed to see it last October, but the discovery of a major bug delayed the process.
Enjoy Android 6.0 Marshmallow!
