A manga-inspired LG V30 Plus special edition is coming to Japan
- The new version of the LG V30 Plus is currently available to pre-order and will be released on March 23.
- It will only be released in Japan and is limited to 10,000 devices.
- It has a JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure-themed design and comes preloaded with lots of related content.
LG will launch a limited edition version of its LG V30 Plus smartphone based on the manga series JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure on March 23. The phone is being released to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the manga series and will be given the name JOJO L-02K.
Unfortunately for fans of the series wanting to get a hold of the device, it is only being released in Japan (via NTT DoCoMo) and will be limited to 10,000 devices. As with the regular V30 Plus, the phone will have a Snapdragon 835 processor, 4 GB of RAM, dual camera, and a 6-inch QHD display.
However, there are some differences. The back of the phone is white and features a JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure design. Additionally, the phone will come preloaded with content related to the manga series such as themes, backgrounds, an augmented reality camera app that lets users take pictures with characters from the cartoon, and a JoJo manga editor.
Interestingly, while most of the specs will be the same as the regular V30 Plus, the new device will run Oreo 8.0 out of the box (V30 users in the US have only recently begun to receive this update) and will have a 3,060mAh battery. This is slightly smaller than the 3,300mAh battery available on the regular V30 Plus.
If you are based in Japan and want to buy the phone, it is currently available for pre-order.
