This week in Android: CES 2019 is here!
The Consumer Electronics Show kicks off our new year and we’ve got a massive list of what we plan to see. We’ll have a huge team on the ground covering all forms of electronics including smartphones, tablets, TVs, IoT, and everything in between. Will we see a foldable Samsung phone? Will we get any surprises like last year’s vivo Nex in-screen fingerprint reader? We’ll be bringing it all.
Plus, after crunching the data from our Best of Android awards we found six phones that were cheating benchmark scores in the performance category. Turns out some phones we tested really open the floodgates when they detected a benchmark app running. Fortunately, we thought of that and worked with Geekbench to catch them red-handed. And yes, we name names.
Plus, Apple had a really bad quarter which may indicate trouble in the industry at large, we look back on 2018 by the numbers, and look forward with our 2019 tech predictions.
