Transformers: Forged to Fight finally rolls out worldwide on Android
After several months of waiting, the highly anticipated mobile fighting-RPG game Transformers: Forged to Fight is rolling out now worldwide in the Google Play Store. However, in between the game’s first announcement and today, there’s been some changes behind the scenes.
When the game was first announced in late 2016, it was revealed it was being made by the team at the Vancouver-based Kabam studio, which also developed the successful Marvel: Contest of Champions mobile game. Between the announcement and today, Kabam Vancouver got acquired by Netmarble, but it looks like that move did not affect the game’s development.
Transformers: Forged to Fight has been created as a bit of a love letter to all incarnations of the toy, movie and animated series franchise. The basis for the game is that there’s some kind of rip in the space-time continuum, and elements of multiple realities start to show up on the same planet. Players of the game will have to assemble their team of Autobots and Decepticons in order to fight the true enemy, a group of corrupted Transformers, along with their evil masters.
Players will engage in one-on-one battles, as Transformer battles Transformer in huge arenas with destructible terrain. Because there are different realities in this game’s world, you could have the classic 80’s animated version of Optimus Prime going up against the live-action movie version of Megatron. Players will also get the option to play against others online, along with other multiplayer modes. One of them involves protecting your base against raids by other players by using a team of Transformers, along with other defenses.
Be aware that while Transformers: Forged to Fight is a free-to-play game, it does contain in-app purchase options. Which two Transformers would you like to see battle it out in the game? Let us know in the comments!
